The design of Bahir transcends the classic separation between seat and backrest. It enables sitting in all kinds of positions as well as lying. It is a piece of upholstered furniture made from a sheet of material shaped into a three-dimensional object. The design is based on the notion that the sofa is a private space. Bahir is a place where you can spread out or curl up in. The quilted cover follows the geometrical construction of the sheets. Its straight seams function simultaneously as separators, as ornaments, and as indicators of visible precision. A simple zipper ensures that the cover can be taken off and cleaned. Bahir makes best use of the in-house production competence of the company COR from Westphalia.
